Government Procurement

Pym’s Technology Lawyers are specialists in Government procurement of ICT products and services and regularly advise ICT suppliers and Government on procurement of ICT goods and services, both at a transactional level and on policy. Our services cover ICT procurement in all States, Territories and Federal Government. Our services include assistance in EOIs, RFPs and RFTs, as well as teaming agreements and subcontracts that support a prime contract.

We advised on hundreds of government transactions from both sides of the fence, ranging from small consulting engagements, software licences, hardware sales, support agreements, systems integration agreements, through to multi-billion dollar outsourcing arrangements. Further Mike Pym has advised the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), (the leading ICT industry association in Australia representing more than 450 members in every region and all ICT industries) on State and Federal Government procurement issues for more than 15 years (usually on a pro bono basis). He regularly advises AIIA and ICT companies on the standard terms and conditions of ICT procurement in each of the States and Territories as well as the Federal Government.

Our services include:

  • Advising ICT suppliers on standard government terms and conditions, as well as procurement policies.
  • Assisting ICT suppliers in responding to tenders, drafting compliance tables on the contract, assisting with risk assessments, and advising on government procument policies and issues.
  • Assisting ICT suppliers to get onto government panel contracts or seeking accreditation in States like Queensland.
  • Advising governments and other public institutions on procurement options, as well as drafting EOIs, RFPs, RFTs, and other tender documentation and then assisting in the evaluation process and finalisation of contracts at award.
