Peter is the founder of Peter Maxwell & Associates and is a principal legal consultant to Pym’s technology Lawyers. Peter has almost 40 years of experience in the patent profession in both corporate and private practice.
Prior to founding Peter Maxwell & Associates Peter
gained extensive experience at Email Limited (the Australian licensee
of Westinghouse and White Consolidated Industries) from 1964-1980. Peter’s
role included responsibility for a wide area of administration including
patents and licensing. Peter was also Assistant Secretary from 1972-1981.
Peter returned to private practice in 1981, founding Peter Maxwell &
Associates. Peter is regarded as one of Australia’s most experienced
and well-respected patent attorneys due to his extensive career within
the intellectual property sector. Peter specialises in all facets of electrical,
biophysical and medical engineering patents. He has also established a
large international and domestic trade mark practice which focuses upon
the licensing of patents and trade marks. Peter’s clients include
many respected companies and individuals who are leaders in their fields
and are well known within Australia and around the world.
